Bebot is an artificial intelligence chatbot released by Bespoke Inc. in 2017, specializing in the hospitality industry. Bebot is available is currently available at hotels, airports, stations, and cities throughout Japan with a recent expansion to the US. Bebot is web based, available in your browser without the need for additional downloads.

Bebot is the world’s only completely specialized chatbot concierge for hotels, airports, stations and cities[1]. Its services are currently integrated at Narita International Airport, Tokyo Station, Holiday Inn hotels and numerous more hotels across Japan[2][3]. Each day, Bebot helps English and Chinese speaking guests from over 100 countries with personalized recommendations, tips, and information. Bebot continues to learn new information to service international travelers. Bebot provides information to users in chat using a combination of Bespoke's own database, as well as external APIs. Each Bebot client gets a fully customized chatbot specific to their facility's needs.

Bebot is powered by Bespoke Inc.’s artificial intelligence technology and can be used on any device (tablets, smartphones, PCs, etc.) as long as there is supported internet connection. No downloads are necessary as Bebot chat works on your preferred browser. Users can either connect to Bebot when they connect to a facility’s public wifi network, through QR codes or on your company website. Bebot is currently available in English and Chinese (simplified and traditional)[4], with other languages in the works.

ChatConnect[edit]

In 2019, Bespoke Inc. launched its ChatConnect for Bebot[21]. The new feature aids businesses in running surveys or promotions through the chat interface. Consumer Connect’s onboarding process can be completed by a business in as little as 15 minutes. When customers connect their devices to the establishment’s Wifi and complete their authentication pages, they are instantly guided to a Bebot chat interface instead of the business’s website. Each use is provided with specialized assistance. As a non-intrusive way to interact with customers, businesses can use Bebot to gather customer insights. The artificial intelligence connects businesses to their customers by personalizing communication to better understand customer preferences.

Technology[edit]

Bebot uses artificial intelligence, natural language processing (NLP), and machine learning to process user requests and messages, all built in-house by Bespoke Inc.'s team based in Tokyo, Japan. All of Bebot's taxonomies, database and chat framework is also built in-house. Bebot is also able to integrate with external APIs and services.
