Kara and Nate are a travel YouTube couple who created the goal of going to 100 countries.[1] The couple started their travel channel on January 12, 2016 with their first video titled, "FIRST VLOG EVER: 20+ Hours to Tokyo"[2] Over the past five years, the couple have accumulated over 2.6 million followers on YouTube[3] and over 500 thousand followers on Instagram[4].

Travel couple from Nashville, Tennessee, Kara and Nate, decided to take one year and travel around the world as much as they possibly could making daily vlogs and enjoying life before "life got to serious." After their first year though the couple stated, "We left home with 2 carry-on bags on January 10, 2016, and halfway through we KNEW we didn't want to stop traveling the world anytime soon!" The couple decided to change their goal from visiting as many countries as they can in one year to visiting 100 countries by 2020.[5]
Kara Buchanan[edit]
Born February 27, 1991, Kara Weaver Buchanan was born in Hendersonville to Kevin Weaver and mother. After graduating from Beech High School in 2009, Weaver got a bachelor's and masters degree in Child and Family Studies from the University of Tennessee.
Before becoming a full time travel blogger, Weaver was a teacher at The Gardner School in Nashville. [6] With said degree, Weaver became preschool teacher.
Nate Buchanan[edit]
Born March 20, 1989, Nathan "Nate" Buchanan was born in Hendersonville, Tennessee. Buchanan addended the University of Tennessee College of Business Administration and received a bachelor's degree in Entrepreneurship and Management in 2011. Then, Buchanan received a masters in Entrepreneurship and Innovation.[7]
In June 2013 the couple married after dating for over ten years. The couple honeymooned in Belize which is where the couple learned of their shared passion for travel.[8]

In January of 2019 a paid website where the couple share low cost fares aligned to your preferences. Their slogan is, "See the world - on any budget!" The website cost $49 a year for the economy plan and $99 a year for the economy and business class plan.[9]
