Becky Olubukola-Oke Ph.D. (born 18 February 1983) is a Nigerian Businesswoman and philanthropist. She is involved in the real estate, agro-allied and entertainment industry. She is the General Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of BSTAN Group which consist of BSTAN Homes, BSTAN Agriculture, BSTAN Cleaning Service, BSTAN Construction, and BSTAN Security.[1] [2]

As of 2020, Olubukola is ranked as one of the top 10 most prominent real estate figures in Nigeria.[3]

Early life and education[edit]

Olubukola was born on 18 February 1983. She hails from the Yoruba ethnic group, from Osun, Osun State. She attended her nursery education in St louis Nursery School and Primary School Akure Ondo state from 1989 - 1994. Olubukola attended CAC Grammar School Akure, between 1994 - 1999. She then went to the University of Benin, between 2000 - 2005 where she acquired her BSC.[4][not in citation given]

Career[edit]

Olubukola started her career in 2006 as an executive assistant at Lopek Engineering Ltd, Lagos, Nigeria. Shortly after, she completed her degree program at UNIBEN in Civil Engineering. Becky grew in ranks and later became an engineering supervisor, a role she held till 2008 when she left the company. She left Lopek engineering in 2008 to join Cityscape Development that same year as a town planner specialist. In 2010, Becky left Cityscape when she got a job as a consultant at Gilmor Engineering. Shortly after her career in the construction world which lasted for 6 years, Olubukola took up new challenge which was driven by her passion for affordable housing to start her real estate company.[5] She used her car as an office until she was able to afford to pay for an office space. As at 2020 December, her company BSTAN homes has completed over 25,000 houses across Nigeria[6][7][8] in major cities such as; Abuja, Lagos, Port Harcourt, and Abeokuta. As a committed member of COREN and the pioneer of the National House Fair, she has impacted the Nigeria real estate industry through her commitment and advocacy for cheap and affordable housing scheme.[9][10][11]

Philanthropy[edit]

Olubukola established the Pricasso Care Foundation (PCF) - a non-governmental and humanitarian organization working towards providing a better life for the underprivileged in society.[12]

Her key focus of cuts across women and “girl-child” empowerment through capacity development/skills acquisition programs and the set-up of Micro, Small, and Medium Scale Enterprises (MSMEs).[13] Annually, She sponsors “Orphans and Widows Christmas”. At this event empowerment/welfare items and supplies (such as Sewing Machines, grinding engines, deep freezers, wrappers, clothes, food items, etc.) are distributed to thousands of widows and orphans in the society.[14]

Awards[edit]

Olubukola is a recipient of numbers of awards. She received the Icon of Nation Building award in 2018.[15] She received the United Nations Noble awards for her contribution to humanity.[16]
