Bee Swarm Simulator (BSS) is a multiplayer idle video game released on the game platform Roblox in March 2018.[1][2] It gained widespread attention for its approach to bee swarms,[3] and how they make money in their hives, from collecting pollen from different fields,[4][5] The game's concurrent user (CCU) records typically round up to about over 100 thousand players, during its "Beesmas" events.[6] The game is owned by its original developer and Bee Swarm Simulator Club, a team owned by Piercen "Onett" Harbut.[7] Players collect pollen with tools and their bees.[4][8] As of May 2021, Bee Swarm Simulator has over 3.2 billion visits.[2]

History

The game participated in various Roblox events throughout 2024,[9][10][11] alongside a 2020 Egg Hunt event.[12]

Macroing

The phrase "macroing" refers to the practice of using automated programs,[13][14] often known as "bots" or "macros," to carry out operations in a game, frequently to automate repetitive activities.[13][14] Onett has verified that players are permitted to use programs, even though doing so is generally discouraged.
