Behmor INC, trading as Behmor, is a global leader in home coffee roasting and brewing products. The company was founded in 2007 by Joe Behm. Behmor launched it's first home roaster, the Behmor 1600, in April 2007, with patent pending smoke suppression technology.[1]
This was soon followed by the Brazen, Brazen Plus and Behmor Connected Brewer which allows consumers to control and program multiple functions from their smartphone, using a mobile app technology from DADO Labs.[2]
Behmor roasters and brewers give consumers the ability to customize their coffee brewing and roasting experience. In 2015 Behmor formally launched Behmor Inspired, a humanitarian program that brings brewers and roasters directly to the farmers growing the coffee beans in Central America. Since its inception in 2007, Behmor has been using the technology to produce innovative solutions. From the development of its roasting cylinder utilizing patent pending smoke- suppression technology, to its partnership with DADO Labs’ connected to IoT platform.[3]
The Behmor Brewer was the first coffee brewer, allowing consumers to control and customize their brew using their smart phone. Utilizing the latest IoT technology from DADO Labs, the Behmor Brewer enables consumers to customize their brewing temperature, pre-soak time, and water volume with the ease of sending a text. All Behmor products are designed using technology to give consumers the a good experience for each cup of coffee.

In April 2007, the company launched their first home coffee roaster, Behmor 1600 with patent pending smoke suppression technology.
Other products that followed after that were the Brazen, Brazen Plus and Behmor Connected Brewer (The World's first "smart" coffee maker) which allows consumers to perform multiple features from their smartphone.[4][5]
Amazon & Behmor[edit]
Amazon sought out Behmor to be part of their Launchpad program, which features products from bright startups, putting Behmor in good company with the other brands participating. Behmor's involvement in Launchpad, as well as Amazon Alexa, Amazon Dash and Amazon Smile is a testament to the Behmor brand and products.
Amazon Dash is a connected device which allows customers to fill an order of their favorite products with the click of a button. With the integration of Amazon DRS, Behmor Connected Brewer owners now have the ability to conveniently order their specific roast automatically, before running out.[6]
Amazon Smile is the charitable end of the marketplace, where consumers can choose the charity of their choice to which they can give back with each purchase . Whether purchasing Behmor products or other items on Amazon by choosing Give Joy 2 One/Funcafé as their charity recipient, consumers are helping support health, education, food security and nutrition of rural Guatemalans and the families who grow coffee in the world.
Behmor Inspired[edit]
The Behmor Inspired program partnered with Anacafe in Guatemala to provide free Behmor roasters to coffee farmers in Central America, giving people the chance to roast their own beans and taste their own coffee, while improving their crops and making a better living.[10]
The program was supported over 30,000 people in Guatemala and donated more than 335 roasters to national coffee associations in Guatemala, El Salvador, Costa Rica and Burundi with the latest donation of equipment to the IWCA ( International Women's Coffee Alliance ) assist setting up 22 training centers in 22 countries to assist women coffee farmers improve their coffee, thus theirs and theirs children lives.[11]
