Akinbiyi Abiola Ahmed (born 27 January 1997), known professionally as Bella Shmurda, is a Nigerian Singer, Song Writer. He is also known as fineboy bella among his fans, Bella is creating a niche for him self, he calls his kind of sound “the Conscious Sound” no doubt Bella, a student of the Lagos State University (LASU) is a force to reckon in the industry. In March 2019, Bella shmurda got introduced to the big stage through “Vision 2020“.[1] After the successful release of his single, The viral video of Vision 2020 with the help of Poco Lee and the populace of LASU brought him to limelight. Bella Shmurda met Olamide which brought about the remix of Vision 2020 [2]
Early Life Background[edit]
Akinbiyi Abiola Ahmed was born and raised in Okokomaiko, Lagos. He is currently in his final year in Lagos State University (LASU) where he’s studying History and international relations.
Music Career[edit]
Bella Shmurda decided to pursue a career in music in his early stages in school. He gained recognition in March 2019, after the viral video to his “Vision 2020” song [3] with sensational Dancer Poco Lee took the internet space by storm, a song Olamide eventually featured on. He has since then dropped singles ranging from Upgrade [4] to One touch featuring Zlatan and Only You which already has DMW’s Davido on the waiting list to be featured on, he has also worked with the like of Runtown [5], to mention a few.
Bella Shmurda dropped his first body of work in the place of an Extended Play (EP) titled High Tension [6] consisting of seven (7) tracks including his hit single Upgrade and Olamide assisted Vision 2020 which was distributed by Canny Consults. He’s currently signed to OneWord Global Records
