Bellwoods Brewery is an independent brewery and brewpub located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It was founded in 2012 by Mike Clark and Luke Pestl, former brewers from Amsterdam Brewing Company.[1][2] The brewery is named after the nearby Trinity-Bellwoods neighbourhood and park.
It is considered by some to be among the best breweries in Canada, including public beer-rating sites like Beer Advocate[3] (ranked #10 of the top ten beers in the country), RateBeer[4] (3 beers ranked in the top 50 in Canada), and Untappd[5] (ranked 20th best brewery in the country), as well as sites including Huffington Post, Chatelaine, and CBC.[6][7][8]
The brewery has two locations in Toronto: their original brewpub and bottle shop located at 124 Ossington Avenue, and a bottle shop and tasting room located at 20 Hafis Road. The Hafis Road location opened in 2016.[9]
The brewery's labels are designed and illustrated by Doublenaut, a Toronto-based design and illustration studio.[2][10]
