Benjamin JD Allen, known as Ben Allen, is an American politician. He is running for the California State Senate in District 26.[1] He is a lawyer and a member of the Santa Monica-Malibu Board of Education .

California's 26th Senate District includes Hollywood, West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Bel Air, Westwood, Brentwood, Pacific Palisades, Santa Monica, Venice, Marina Del Rey, Playa Del Rey, Westchester, El Segundo, Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach, Torrance, the Palos Verdes Peninsula, Santa Catalina Island, and San Clemente Island. (This district was formerly the 28th Senate District, prior to redistricting.) [3]

Campaign[edit]

As a candidate for California State Senate, Allen came in first place over the crowded eight candidate pool in the District 26 June 3rd Primary earlier this year. Ben continues to be a leader on issues of environmental sustainability, financial accountability, and community engagement. [3]
