Benefits of current meters in USB chargers
From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki
Few USB chargers such as the three-port Powstro HKL-USB32 are equipped with a display which indicates the charging current (ampèrage) on a display on its front side.
Benefits include the ability to check if a connected mobile phone is drawing current properly, if a connected power bank is approaching full charge (current gradually decreases), and satisfying curiosity.
While external USB multi meters such as the KW203 and KWS-MX17 exist, those add bulk and impedance, of which the latter would adversely affect charging speed given a non-elevated output voltage of around five volts.
