Benham and Reeves is a London-based estate and lettings agency founded in 1958. The company provides residential sales, lettings, property management and investment services across London and, since 1995, international markets, servicing overseas investors into London property.
Headquartered in Hampstead, London, Benham and Reeves operates through a network of branches across the capital, as well as series of international offices.[1]
The current Director of Benham and Reeves, Marc von Grundherr, serves as a regular commentator in property-related media across both print and broadcast channels.
History
Benham and Reeves was launched in Hampstead in 1958. In 1998, Anita Mehra was named Managing Director and eventually took over the business. A London property pioneer, Mehra transformed the single-branch agency into a global real estate business. Today, Benham and Reeves has 21 branches across London and 11 international offices, most of which are located across Asia and the Middle East.[2]
The company's first international office was established in Hong Kong in 1996. Two years later, an office was opened in Singapore to cater to the strong demand for London property among East Asian investors. As of 2026, the firm as offices in Shanghai, Kuala Lumpur, India, Indonesia, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey and the Middle East.[3]
With a diverse team of more than 200 employees across the world, Benham and Reeves supports a global network of property investors and clients.
