Benson Browne
Benson Browne is an American football tight end who plays for the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at N.C. State. He was signed by the Rams after going undrafted in the 2016 NFL Draft.
College career[edit]
After playing football and basketball at Cincinnati (OH) Walnut Hills High School, he was named to the all-ACC Academic Honor Roll during his redshirt year. Browne played in 12 games under Tom O'Brien, mainly playing on special teams and being limited on offense as NC State went 7-6.
As a sophomore, Browne only saw action in 2 games as NC State went on to have a struggling season with new head coach Dave Doeren going 3-9. Then as a junior he played in all 13 games, mainly as a blocking tight end as NC State went 9-4.
As a senior he played in 3 games, catching 4 passes for 18 yards and 2 touchdowns helping NC State go to a 7-6 record.
Pro career[edit]
After not getting invited to the NFL Combine, Browne went undrafted. He went to Los Angeles Rams tryouts and was later signed by the Rams to play tight end.
