Bernardo Alvarez Lince (born November 19, 1935) is an important Colombian phychiatrist and active psychoanalyst since 1965 (51 years). He started psychoanalysis, together with Ricardo Horacio Etchegoyen, for the first time in the Province of Mendoza, Argentina.
Life and career[edit]
Bernardo Alvarez Lince was born in Colombia. He studied medicine at the National University of Cuyo, in the province of Mendoza, Argentina. He analyzed with R. Horacio Etchegoyen and Donald Meltzer. He has worked in Colombia since the late 70s.
On psychoanalytic technique[edit]
His technique is based on the work by Sigmund Freud and Melanie Klein. The structure of the unconscious developed by Freud and the Object Relations Theory developed by Klein..
