The site, run primarily by William Johnson, launched to little acclaim in 2007 starting more as a site for film contributors. The site provided mainly news and features on independent films.
Growth[edit]
However in 2011 the site experienced an upsurge in visitors and followers on social networking sites[3] which prompted the move to a "profit-making" website to cover expenses for running the site and employees. The company is now run by the company "IGP Media." Due to its increased success and heightened reputation online the site has managed to obtain interviews with the creators of the some of the biggest films of 2012, including The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn and The Human Centipede.[4] The site is now highly cited by well respected entertainment websites like Slash Film, and Deadline Hollywood.[citation needed]
