Better Education Service Delivery For All (BESDA) is a world bank operation project in Nigeria. The Programme aims to bring out of school children into the classroom, improve literacy, and strengthen accountability for results in basic education.

The development objective of the Better Education Service Delivery for All (BESDA) Operation Project for Nigeria is to increase equitable access for out of school children and improve literacy in focus states, and strengthen accountability for results, in basic education in Nigeria.[1]

BESDA is funded by $611 million from World Bank with the aim to increase equitable access for out of school children, improve literacy and strengthen accountability for results at the basic education level.[2][3]

The intervention program in the educational sector has led to drop in the number of out-of-school children in the country from over 10 million to 6.95 millionn in one year.[2]

The program is currently being implemented in 17 states of the federation including all the 13 States of North West and North East, Nigeria.[2][1]
