Beyond Paradise is a 2018 American romantic drama, an independent film written, produced, and directed by J.J. Alani (J. Jonroy Alani) aka Jay Jonroy. He also wrote, produced, and directed David & Layla, a romantic comedy. Beyond Paradise stars Ryan Guzman, Francia Raisa, Daphne Zuniga and Max Amini.[1]
Raisa and Guzman were both nominated for Imagen Awards for their performances in this film, respectively for Best Actress vs Juliette Binoche and Best Actor vs Antonio Banderas.[2]
This independent film has an Audience Score of 5.9/10 on IMDB.
Beyond Paradise was Official Selection in Competition at the world's two largest and oldest Romance and Amour film festivals, respectively: Cabourg Romantic Film Festival in France (2015), and at Festival International du Film d'Amour de Mons in Belgium (2016).[citation needed]
