B.G. Knocc Out released Da New Crip in September 2017.[1] Though the album is his shortest yet at just over 20 minutes, it ranked #60 in Amazon's Best International Rap Albums.[2] Lauded as an icon[3] the rapper's single "Gang-Bang" compares gang life in the '80s with gang life today.[4] True to the model of his mentor and friend Eazy-E, B.G. Knocc Out offers new rappers a chance by featuring them on his albums. This album is no different. "W.E.S.T." features H-Rider and Muszamil. Track six, "Slam Dunk" features up and comer Mike D'Angelo. It can be said, just as Eazy-E gave B. G. Knocc Out his big break, the rapper seeks to offer the same privileges and opportunities to young artists, as he did by gaining nationwide notoriety for the Nutty Blocc Compton Crips.[5]
