Bhavana Studios is an Indian film production company based in Malayalam film industry owned by Fahadh Faasil, Dileesh Pothan and Syam Pushkaran. The first project of the company was the Kumbalangi Nights in which the firm was the audio label. The first production venture of the company was JOJI, directed by Dileesh Pothan written by Syam Pushkaran starring Fahadh Faasil, Baburaj, Unnimaya Prasad in the lead.[1] Joji was an Amazon Prime Direct release on April 7th 2021.[2] It also received multiple international awards and mentions from various festivals around the world.[3] The firms second production was Palthu Janwar which was directed by the debutant Sangeeth P Rajan, written by Vinoy Thomas and Aneesh Anjali starring Basil Joseph, Johny Antony, Indrans in the lead.[4] The movie was an Onam release on September 2nd 2022. [5] The movie started to stream on Disney+ Hotstar from October 14th 2022. [6] Thankam directed by Saheed Arafath written by Syam Pushkaran is the next project of the company.[7] It stars Vineeth Sreenivasan, Biju Menon, Aparna Balamurali, Girish Kulkarni in the lead.[8] The first look of Thankam was released on November 10th 2022 which featured Biju Menon, Vineeth and Aparna.[9]
