Thankam is an upcoming Malayalam crime drama movie directed by Saheed Arafath and written by Syam Pushkaran. It is produced by Fahadh Faasil, Dileesh Pothan, and Syam Pushkaran under the banner Bhavana Studios in association with Working Class Hero and Fahadh Faasil & Friends.[1] The film was initially announced with the cast starring Fahadh Faasil, Dileesh Pothan and Joju George in the lead in 2019, But was later postponed due to COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.[2]
Production[edit]
In October 2019, Thankam was announced as the second production venture of Working Class hero[3] with the cast of Fahadh Faasil, Joju George, Aparna Balamurali and Dileesh Pothan in lead roles.[4][5] The film was expected to hit screens by early 2020.[6] But due to COVID-19, the production got delayed.
The filming started rolling on May 29th, 2022, with the updated cast of Vineeth Sreenivasan and Biju menon in the lead.[7] The first look of the film was released on 10th December 2022 hinting the film would hit screens sometime in 2023. [8]
