Bihar Startup Policy
The Bihar government launched the Bihar Startup Policy 2017 with a Rs. 500cr fund with the aim of attracting entrepreneurs and startups.[1][2]
On 15 January 2018, the Bihar government launched a campaign called "Bano Udyami" to encourage youth to start new businesses.[3]
In May 2019, the "Bihar Entrepreneurs Association" decided to set up the Artificial Intelligence - Centre of Excellence" in Patna; it would be the first of its kind in East India.[4]
In March 2021, Jibesh Kumar stated at the 28th Convergence India 2021 at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi[which?] that over 104 startups have already been incubated under the Bihar Startup Policy, that investments in Bihar's IT sector were expected to grow[clarification needed], and that three "IT parks" at Rajgir, Bihta, and Patna were under construction.[5]

- DeHaat, an agricultural technology startup that offers end-to-end services[clarification needed] such as access to financial services and to marketplaces, with $7.84M in funding from Omnivore[who?] and Trifecta Capital.[6]
- Sattuz, which offers sattu, with an undisclosed amount of funding from Indian Angel Network.[6]
- Medishala Healthcare, an online platform based in Patna that provides medical services to its users there and helps connect physicians to patients through local chemists.[6][7]
- Road Express, an on-demand mini-vehicle and truck service with 350K+ users.[6][clarification needed]
- Eggoz, which operates egg farms in Bihar and Madhya Pradesh, which raised $176K (Rs 1.2 crore) in angel investments in 2018.[6][8]
