Bikwasi Haruna was born on 28 November 1981 in a town called Wobulenzi in Uganda. His mother is Nalumansi Halima (wife number 3 to his father) and his father is Abu Bikwasi (a polygamist with 4 wives). He is fourth-born on his mother’s side and a tenth-born on his father's side. He has 8 siblings on his mother's side but more than 26 including those from the other 3 wives. Bikwasi Haruna Rwamutakitwe is a businessman from Kirembe Nyihanda Mitooma Ruhinda, a son of the Late Dr. Abu Bikwasi from Kayanga village in Mitooma District, where he grew up and attended Kirembe Primary School.
