BioSerenity is startup created in 2014 that develops ambulatory medical devices to help diagnose and monitor patients suffering from Chronic disease[3] such as Epilepsy[4]. The medical devices are composed of medical sensors, smart clothing[5], a smart phone app for Patient Reported Outcome, a web platform to perform data analysis through Medical Artificial Intelligence.[6][7] allowing automatic detection of digital biomarkers.[8]. The company initially focused on Neurology [9]. It now also operates in Sleep Disorders and Cardiology [10]. In the fields where the company operates, the startup provides hospitals and healthcare professionals with a portfolio of fully-operated care services. BioSerenity also provides pharmaceutical companies with turnkey solutions for companion diagnostics.[11]

BioSerenity was founded in 2014, by Pierre-Yves Frouin. The company was initially hosted in the ICM Institute (Institut du Cerveau et de la Moëlle épinière)[12][13], in Paris, France.

Fund Raising

  • June 8th 2015 : The company raises a $4 million seed round with Kurma Partners and IdInvest Partners[14]
  • September 20th 2017 : The company raises a $17 million series A round with LBO France, IdInvest Partners and BPI France[15]
  • June 18th 2019 : The company raises a $70 million series B round with Dassault Systèmes, IdInvest Partners, LBO France et BPI France[16]

Acquisitions

In 2019, BioSerenity announces the acquisition of the American Company SleepMed[17] and working with over 200 Hospitals.
