Bio SoCal AMBK Inc. is a Biohazard cleanup and hoarding remediation company headquartered in Westlake Village, CA with a location in Palm Springs, California.[1][2]

History

Alan Cohen and Melissa Cohen cofounded Bio SoCal in August 2014.[3] The company provides confidential and discreet residential, commercial and municipal biohazard and forensic cleanup services. Alan Cohen also serves as the CEO of the company.[1][4]

The company was launched in August 2014, first as a franchise serving Los Angeles and Ventura County. In March 2016, Alan and Melissa left the franchise system and became independent to begin rapid expansion into seven Southern California counties including Los Angeles, Ventura, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego and Santa Barbara.

To accommodate their growth, in May 2018, Bio SoCal acquired Millers Trauma Scene Restoration in Palm Springs, CA, to expand the serviced geographic territory.

The company has a Trauma Scene Waste Management Practitioner License (TSW 16 & 493) issued by the California Department of Public Health under the 2017 Waste Management Act and is registered in the federal government's System for Award Management (SAM).[5] The company maintains certification by IICRC and is licensed by the State of California Department of Public health.[6] BioSocal responds to situations involving the presence of biohazards such as blood or infectious disease.[7] These situations frequently include crime scene cleanup following a burglary, homicide or suicide, unattended death scenes, homeless encampment removal and decontamination, infectious disease contamination from Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), Clostridioides difficile (C.Diff ) and others.[1]
