Samuel Ben Owusu born July 26, 1979 is a Ghanaian Pastor known in the Charismatic Christianity circles as Bishop Sam Owusu. He founded the Pottersville Church International,[1][2] a Charismatic Christianity ministry in Ghana on November 1, 2007. In February 2020 he was appointed a UN Peace Advocate.[3] He founded the Sam Owusu Ministries Worldwide,[4] and is author of the book titled The Wonders of Favour.[5]

Early/personal life[edit]

Bishop Sam Owusu was born in Adansi in the gold mining town of Obuasi located in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. He later moved to Ghana's capital city of Accra where he founded Champion Ways Ministries International [6] which later became Pottersville Church International in July 2007. He became an ordained Pastor in April 2002 at the World Mission Bible College of Ghana and then became Bishop in May 2008. In January 2004, he married Joy Owusu with whom he has 4 children.

Ministry[edit]

Pottersville Church International located at East Legon Hills on Santoe Road in Ghana gained over 20 branches and other affiliated churches worldwide as at 2019.[7] The Bishop who addresses social issues[8] besides his religious work was appointed a UN Peace Ambassador by the International Association of World Peace Advocates on February 29, 2020 under the UN 1994 resolution of SDG goals, he gained the title His Eminent UN Peace Ambassador Bishop Samuel Owusu.[9]He also launched Covenant Leadership College in 2003, a Bible College that has trained over 7000 people[10] including Ghanaian musician K.K. Kabobo.[11]
