Bishpara is a small village in the Kuntighat region on the banks of the river Kunti in Hooghly district. This village is managed by Chandrahati 1 gram panchayat. Chunchura belongs to the Magra block. Post Office - Nayasarai, Thana - Mogra, Pin No. 712513[1].

Bishpara G.s.f.p school and Bishpara High School (Higher Secondary School) were established in this village in 1968, which is the only medium of higher education in the Kuntighat region including this village[2].

Places of interest

It is situated on the banks of river Ganga, 5 km away from the village of Tribeni. It is an old sacred place for Hindus, whose sanctity has been recognized for many centuries, and a Sanskrit text from the last quarter of the 12th century is mentioned in Pavandut[4].
