Bizuum Yadok ( born 11 October 1984)[1] is a Nigerian writer, novelist, poet, and lecturer at Federal College of Education, Pankshin. [2] [3][4] [5]He is the chairman and co-founder of Plateau Writers’ Society (PLAWS) formerly known as Plateau State Authors' Group (PLASAG).[6] Yadok authored ‘King of the Jungle’ (a novel) [7][8] and ‘Echoes of the Plateau’ (Poetry).[9] He curated JOSTICE (an anthology of short stories) in 2018.[10][11]

Bizuum or Bizum, has several academic articles, poems, and short stories published in reputable magazines, news papers and journals across and beyond Nigeria. [12][13][14][15]

Early Life

Bizuum or Bizum was born on 11th October, 1984 to the family of Mr and Mrs Godwill Yadok at Amper, Kanke Local Government Area of Plateau State. His birth was well celebrated on seeing that they were twins. His mother was a teacher at Government Secondary School, Amper. She later moved to Pankshin, where Bizuum together with his twin brother, Biplang started their basic education.[1] [1]

Education

Yadok, Bizuum Godwill attended Fatima Private School, Pankshin for his First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC) from 1990 – 1996. He proceeded to Government Science School, Kuru, Jos in 1996 where he sat for Junior Secondary Certificate Examination(JSCE) in 2000. When he discovered he wasn’t cut out for the sciences, he changed environment to the famous Boys’ Secondary School(BSS), Gindiri, in 2000 where he continued with arts and later graduated in 2023. He was lucky and got admitted into the University of Jos in 2003 and graduated with B.A (Comb. Hons.) English/Linguistics in 2008. In 2010, Bizuum went to Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria where he obtained a Professional Diploma in Education(PDE) in 2011. Unrelentingly, he continued to strive for excellence. Bizuum enrolled into the University of Jos for his master’s degree from 2015 – 2017 where he graduated with M.A Literature. Presently, he’s on his Ph.D at the Federal University of Lafiya, Nasarawa State. Godwill has taught English in schools before he was later employed as a lecturer with FCE Pankshin.[2]
