BlackMattersUS was founded in 2015 in California to reveal the truth about racism, inequality and injustice that the mainstream media keep out of sight. Activities
Apart from providing news coverage, BlackMattersUS supports actions and rallies for justice with its activists.
In May 2016, BlackMattersUS[1] held a rally in memory of Aiyana Jones.[2][3] Families of people killed by police officers and activists gathered at the feet of the Spirit of Detroit statue in front of the Coleman A. Young Municipal building in Detroit.[4]
BlackMattersUS team
BlackMattersUS team consists of professional and freelance journalists. They are Ken Patterson, Tylissa Hide, Aaron Lewis, Jake Dubois, Joshua Smith and other writers. The community also invites volunteers and activists who provide assistance and help during marches and rallies.
