About The Movement[edit]

Mission[edit]

The goal of this movement is to prevent non-human animals from being treated badly and to protect nature from being destroyed by trying to persuade local, state, and federal governments to establish and run humane law enforcement organizations in order have a dedicated police force that focuses on the rights and justice of animals and the preservation of wildlife.

Goals[edit]

The Movement has the following goals in order to achieve their mission:

  • Ensure rights and humane treatment of non-human animals around the world
  • The protection of nature and the environment around the world
  • Establishing a positive relationship between the public, government agencies, animals, and nature.
  • Creating a better planet for current and future generations.

The methods to achieve the goals by the movement are

  • Petitioning our local, state, and federal governments.
  • Donations and fundraisers to help fund these agencies
  • Working with current law enforcement agencies and government to plan for this change.
  • Education in public, schools, and online.

Reasoning[edit]

The reasoning behind the movement is that they believe that there is not enough support in the country from the government to ensure the safety and well being of animals and wildlife.

Not Enough Resources[edit]

The movement believes that the police, animal control, humane societies, and other agencies are swamped with their own duties and budgets and that many of these organizations do not have the time or man power to investigate and prosecute those who harm animals and nature. They believe having a dedicated law enforcement force in all states and towns to take on the case load of animal cruelty and environmental damage would help ensure that cases involving animal or wildlife endangerment do not become neglected and get attended to.

Not Enough Rights[edit]

The movement believes having a specific law enforcement agency dedicated to the wellness of animals and nature, the agencies have the same rights and respect as current police forces do. The movement wants to make it so these agencies have the following rights:

  • Arresting, charging, and prosecuting people
  • Being able to search houses with a warrant
  • Allowed to break a window of a car that has an animal suffocating or freezing in the car
  • Be able to use police lights and sirens to get to situations that are time sensitive
  • Be respected and treated equally by police, citizens, and government.

Not Enough Dedication and Consistency[edit]

The movement believes that having a separate police force dedicated to the rights of animals and nature would ensure that all animals and wildlife receives the same amount of support. They feel without humane law enforcement agencies, there is not enough dedication and there is no consistency. They claim that it is hard to get justice sometimes for animals who have been treated inhumanly when some of the local authorities may not find the issue as important as others and may not press charges as opposed to other local authorities. The movement is certain that having a dedicated humane law enforcement force will keep a consistent goal and similar laws.
