Blaenavon

Blaenavon is a town in Torfaen, South Wales. It has a population of about 6000.

It is part of the Blaenavon Industrial Landscape, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2000.

The town has 2 football clubs:

• Blaenavon Blues AFC, based in the town (at the highest-altitude football pitch in Wales)
• Forgeside AFC, from the nearby area of Forgeside but currently playing in Govilon
