Blake Alma (born September 24th, 2000) is an American social media personality and numismatist. He was a television and radio show host before starting a social media career in 2020. He started actively posting content on the video-sharing platform TikTok, where he began posting coin collecting videos on his page CoinHub.[1][2][3]

Early life[edit]

Blake Alma was born in Sharonville, Ohio. At 12-years-old, he was introduced to fishing at a youth church camp. Shortly after, he started pursuing a career in the outdoors. Blake experience massive success during his teenage years. By the time he was 17, he was hosting his own radio show, podcast, and television show all relating to outdoor recreation. His television show, The Outdoor Experience with Blake Alma, began airing on May 22, 2017 on Hunt Channel, which was on Dish Channel 266 and on Roku. He had also published several books about his success in the outdoors and his views on politics. He also incorporated his religious beliefs into his shows. He stated with an interview on WCPO, "Even though the outdoors is a place of enjoyment and pleasure, it is also a place that shows the glory and wonder of a Creator!"[1][4]

In August of 2018, Blake resigned his positions as a television show host and outdoor influencer. It states on his personal website the following, "As he (Blake) got older, he saw the endless, godless hate from opposing parties more than he saw a loving and accepting outdoor community. As a result due to the endless hate and his fleeing teenhood, he stepped down from hosting The Outdoor Experience and his other outdoor roles." However he didn't point out any personal reasons or examples behind is resignation. As of February 2022, Blake lives in Lebanon, Ohio.[5]

Career[edit]

Blake first began posting on TikTok in January of 2020 with a penny collecting video. It wasn't until later that year till his videos went viral. He posted a video regarding the value of Coca-Cola bottle cap coin that was legal currency in Fiji. The video accumulated more than 500,000 views.[6] His TikTok profile, CoinHub, grew to fame thereafter. In September 2020, he gained further exposure for his videos explaining the value of a 1992 "Close AM" penny.[7][8] The video produced more than 9 million views. He was subsequently credited with popularizing coin collecting on TikTok.[9][10][11][12][13][14][15]
