Cristina Capron
Cristina Capron is an American internet influencer, NASM certified fitness trainer, and entrepreneur from Michigan, US.
Life[edit]
Early life[edit]
At the age of three, Capron moved to Grand Ledge, Michigan, with her parents and older brother Jake Ochsner because their father relocated his job.[1]
High school[edit]
Although she was active, Capron ate whatever she wanted, including "pizzas and sweets". When she first noticed that her body was gaining fat, it was unusual for her.[1] She notes on her website, "I was fine with my body but the extra fat I carried in my stomach always bothered me. I honestly did not know there was any way to get rid of it, I thought that's just how my body was". [2]
Capron graduated from Grand Ledge High School in 2013.[2] Shortly after, she began dating Jon Horford, an American Professional Basketball Player.[2]
College[edit]
During her first year, she was scared of gaining the "freshman 15" eating only cafeteria food[1] because Cafeteria food correlates to two thirds of American obesity in the United States.[3] Cristina Capron chose only the healthiest menu options while avoiding sugars and trans-fats because research shows cafeteria food incorporates artificial sweeteners.[3] Months later, Capron successfully lost ten pounds.[1][2]
Capron mentions that she would go on runs and then sit "through hour-long classes in (her) sweaty workout clothes."[2]
As a result, Capron began to launch her social media profiles to share her body fitness transformations in 2014[2] because she loved and enjoyed seeing the results come together. Cristina Capron dropped out of nursing to move back home closer to Jon Hartford in 2014, aiming to focus on her fitness career.[2]
Nutrition[edit]
Capron is on an all organic and natural diet plan[2] from the lessons she learned in college. She keeps her sugars and trans-fats low, eating raw and simple, nutritious foods, such as chicken, broccoli, rice, canned beans, sweet corn, and Greek yogurt.[1] Mentioned as a brand ambassador for Garden of Life, her favorite supplements she takes are BCAAs, Whey Protein from Grass-Fed Animals, Probiotics, and Women's Multivitamin[4] and shares these specific preferences on her YouTube channel as well.[5]
Fitness[edit]
Capron works out five days per week doing strength work, including barbell exercises, machine muscle isolation, and various high-intensity drills.[6] Capron is not a cardio fan and will only step on a treadmill if she wants to lose fat[7]. Capron does not see a need to, since her weight training style keeps her lean most of the year.[1]
Career[edit]
Capron is a certified NASM fitness trainer having over 800,000 followers and counting on her Instagram account, interacting with her audience, and posting at-home workouts.[7] She is active on Facebook.[8] Capron also has a YouTube account where she primarily posts tutorials, tips, and tricks for nutritional dieting, helping a whole community of people achieves their fitness-related goals. [5]
In 2019, Capron launched her first CCFIT app that now has over 80,000 users.[6] The app includes over 100 workouts with all experience level programs and flexible formats to accommodate various schedules.[6]
Capron became an ambassador for paragon footwear,[7] and in 2018 became an ambassador for the garden of Life, representing an all-organic diet.[4]
Capron launched her business website in 2020, selling her self-created ankle straps, resistance bands, lifting straps, gym bags, scrunchies, and barbell weights.[2] Cristina also began a blog sharing her favorite recipes and workouts on her website. [9]
Career accomplishments[edit]
Capron earned over 800,000 followers on her Instagram page.[7] She is an entrepreneur, founding the CCFIT app, her own business that provides her self created training programs for her followers[2]. Capron is also a training coach and coached individuals before her CCFIT app.[5]
