Blake Matheny is an engineering director at Facebook where he is responsible for Linux kernel development.[1] Prior to joining Facebook, Blake was one of the first dozen engineers at Tumblr. At Tumblr Blake was the engineer primarily responsible for developing collins [2] and memkeys[3], along with several other open source projects. Blake was also an active contributor to finagle[4], an RPC framework developed at Twitter.
Blake attended Purdue University. At Purdue University, Blake was a research student of Jeffrey Mark Siskind and Eugene Spafford, focused on the security related research. Blake also collaborated with graduate students Brian Carrier[5] and Aaron Walters.
