Blitz Quotidiano is an Italian online newspaper founded on 3 March 2009 by Marco Benedetto and directed first by Alberto Francavilla and then by Alessandro Avico.
Description
The daily was founded on 3 March 2009 by Marco Benedetto (former chief executive officer of the Gruppo Editoriale L'Espresso and of Editrice La Stampa), who initially appointed Alberto Francavilla as director, later succeeded by Alessandro Avico.[1]
Blitz Quotidiano publishes news and updates on major events, along with other minor features, such as a daily horoscope curated by astrologer Caterina Galloni. Among its contributors is the journalist Mino Fuccillo.[2]
In December 2016, Blitz Quotidiano (through an editorial by its founder Marco Benedetto) invited its readers to vote "Yes" in the 2016 Italian constitutional referendum.[3]
According to the Audiweb online information ranking (published by the magazine Prima Comunicazione), the site blitzquotidiano.it has nearly 190,000 visitors per day.[4]
