History[edit]
Arthur Baker, the founder of Bloxd.io, aimed to create a web-based platform with high-quality, polished experiences similar to Minecraft but more accessible through the web. Bloxd.io began as a single game mode called BloxdHop in January 2021. Over time, additional modes were introduced, expanding the game into a full-fledged platform with multiple gameplay options.[4]
Baker initially developed the game's first version in under a month, focusing on rapid iteration and player engagement. The game quickly gained popularity, especially on platforms like Crazy Games[5] contributing to its growing player base. As of 2023, Bloxd.io boasts 3 million monthly players. The game’s success is largely attributed to its engaging gameplay, ease of access[6], and ability to iterate based on player feedback quickly. [7]
