The Bluegrass Motorsports Club & Road Course (also known as Bluegrass Motorsports Park and Race Course) is located in Sparta, Kentucky near the Kentucky Speedway. The 3.54-mile (5.70 km) multi-configuration road course is being developed by Poppell Motorsports and Competizione Motorsports, and is designed by Formula One driver, Derek Daly.[1] The front straight is one of the longest in North America at 4057'.
The facility was designed by American Structurepoint and Paxton Waters Architecture.[2] Andy Vertrees was the project manager, overseeing the construction of the road course. The track was to open in 2009 to accommodate cars, karts, and motorcycles for instruction and training purposes, and club and pro racing events.[3]
