Bob Manning (musician)
Robert Manning, is a British musician and joint founding member of post-rock band Cold, cold heart.
In 2011, Robert started "Music for MRI" to raise money and awareness for Multiple Sclerosis. The collaborative project involved a number of alternative artists releasing covers of Washington Parks, a song Robert had written about his life with Multiple Sclerosis.
Over a three-year period the track was covered by Ash, We Are Scientists,[1] Emmy the Great and Tim Wheeler, Marissa Nadler,[2] Ed Harcourt[3] and Oliver Wilde. In total Washington Parks raised £12,000 for the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
It was said during an interview that Cold, cold heart formed after Robert's longtime friend Chris Daniel covered "Washington Parks". To date this version has not been released.
