Bobbie Jean "BJ" Carter (January 12, 1982 - December 23, 2023) was the sister of pop stars Nick Carter, Leslie Carter, and Aaron Carter.
Early Life and Family[edit]
Bobbie Jean Carter was born in Jamestown, New York where her parents, Jane Eleonora Schneck (nèe Spaulding, previously Carter) and Robert Gene Carter (September 23, 1952 - May 16, 2017), owned a bar called the Yankee Rebel. She is the second oldest of five children. Her older brother is Nickolas Gene Carter (January 28, 1980), and her younger siblings are Leslie Barbara Ashton (nee Carter) (December 13, 1978), Angel Charisma Conrad (nee Carter) (December 7, 1987), and Aaron Charles Carter (December 7, 1987 - November 5, 2022). His father also had a daughter, Ginger Lee Carter (January 16, 1972 - May 29, 2023), from his first marriage to Pamela Freeman Wolfe.
After her parents divorced in 2003, her father married for the third time in 2004. His third wife is Ginger R. Elrond (December 5, 1974), and together they have a son named Kaden Brent Carter (June 7, 2005). Her mother remarried in 2005 to Gregory W. Schneck.
The Carter family moved to Ruskin, Florida by Tampa in 1984. Here, Robert and Jane managed the Garden Villa Retirement Home and added to their family. They later moved to Apollo Beach, Florida.
Daughter[edit]
BJ has a daughter called Bella (born ca. 2015) with her deceased ex, Richard Marrero.
According to BJ's mother, Jane, Richard died of an overdose in BJ's apartment, but thankfully Bella was with her grandmother at the time.
Other Family[edit]
All her siblings, except Kaden, have at least one child, meaning BJ is an aunt.
Ginger has two daughters, one with life companion George Stroebel IV and one with an ex; Carly Rae Stroebel and Tayler Treadway. Her older brother Nick Carter has three children with his wife Lauren Kitt-Carter; Odin, Saoirse, and Pearl. Her younger sister Leslie Ashton has two daughters, Alyssa and Sally Ashton, with her husband Mike. Younger sister Angel Conrad has one daughter, Harper, with her husband Corey, and her younger brother Aaron Carter has a son, Prince, with his former fiance Melanie Martin.
Career[edit]
Carter used to work with wardrobe and make-up on Aaron's tours.
She also appeared in all episodes of the American reality show, House of Carters in 2006, which detailed her brothers and sisters trying to reconnect.
Since then she has among other things been working as a bartender in Florida.
Substance Abuse and Arrests[edit]
Carter has a long-time alcohol and substance abuse problem. Her issues with alcohol was featured on her family's reality show.
She has been arrested several times, with the latest one being on June 10, 2023 for one count of retail theft and one count of possession of fentanyl. After she was released, she left her daughter with relatives of Bella's father and went on the run. She has since been arrested again.
Carter was released on November second, 2023, and has been sentenced to two years of house arrest for retail theft and possession of fentanyl.

Bobbie Jean Carter died of unknown causes on December 23, 2023 at the age of 41.
