Bobby Hussy

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Bobby Hussy is a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, songwriter, recording engineer and record label owner from Madison, Wisconsin.[1] He is best known as a founding member and songwriter of the garage rock band The Hussy,[2] which he formed in 2008 with Heather Sawyer.[3] The Hussy released five studio albums on Dirtnap Records, Southpaw Records[4] and Tic Tac Totally before they broke up in 2020.[5] The band toured America, Europe,[6] Australia and New Zealand,[7] and made appearances at Goner Records' Gonerfest[8] in Memphis, Tennessee. Evan Minsker of Pitchfork noted the band's "nuance" on their single "Blame",[9] called another single "EZ/PZ" "powerful",[10] and included The Hussy albums Looming and Galore in their Shake Appeal column's best of punk and garage rock lists.[11][12]

Bobby Hussy has also performed live in the bands Nobunny[13] and Digital Leather,[14] and he has previously recorded and performed with the bands Fire Heads, Cave Curse[15] and TIT. He currently fronts the bands Wristwatch[16] and Whippets.[17]
