Bola Akande
Bolanle Elizabeth Akande is a film maker, actress, published writer, wife and mother of three.
Early life[edit]
Born Bola Ogunsola on 21 August 1968 in Ibadan, Nigeria to artist father Ishola Ogunsola and Mojisola Ogunsola. Born into a home of the arts, Bola deviated from the family trade and studied Microbiology for her first degree. Bola is the second born of 31 children born to her father. She married her teenage love Arisekola Akande on the 7th of August 1993. They have three kids together Adedolapo Edward Akande, Adedoyin Akande and Oluwadamilola Charles Akande.
Personal life[edit]
Bola became born again shortly after marriage in 1993 and received the call to ministry early 2003, upon relocating to Manchester, United Kingdom in 2005, Bola began her drama ministry in the UK in 2005. The ministry is called 'His Praise and Glory Media'. After the call on Bola's life, she decided to further her knowledge in her craft by studying for a Film and media degree at Manchester Metropolitan University in 2012, and then further developing herself with a master's degree (2013) in Film making at the same university. Bola is the founder of Christian movie online TV channel, 'The Essence TV'.
Media[edit]
His Praise and Glory Media headed by Bola has produced 6 movies to date: Echoes of Silence, Sour Grapes, Caged, The Stance, Another Chance, Love Uncut. A TV show titled ' My Father's House' currently in the production process, numerous magazines, youth events such as Manchester Freedom Festival and Why Youth Vibes and various life changing stage dramas.
