Bondarev Serhiy Anatoliiovych (24 november, 1981, Kramatorsk, the Donetsk oblast, also known as Donechchyna , URSR- 18 February 2014, Kyiv, Ukraine) — ukrainian programmer, non partisan. Participant of the Euromaidan- Maidan Nezalezhnosti (Independence square), Hero of Ukraine.
Biography[edit]
Serhiy studied in a physics-math class. He dreamed hard to become an archivist, admired our country’s history and knew it perfectly, but he entered the Donbas State Machine-Building Academy, on faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Automation, speciality - information technology programming. Last years lived and worked in Kyiv in company GlobalLogic Ukraine, as a team leader. Died during events on Maidan,on February 18, 2014. Died of 4 gunshot wounds during first assault near the Trade Unions Building (Kyiv) (or Budynok Profspilok). On February 20 was identified by his relatives. His 8 months pregnant wife remained. Serhiy was buried at cemetery, in Chabany(Kyiv oblast).[1]
Awards[edit]
Serhiy was posthumously awarded the Order of the Gold Star with title Hero of Ukraine (21 February 2014). For civic courage, patriotism, heroic defense of the constitutional foundations of democracy, human rights and freedoms, selfless service to the Ukrainian people, demonstrated during the Revolution of Dignity.
