Search Boom Squad on Amazon. The game is defined by realistic gunplay, with a focus on player vs player and cooperative gameplay. The key to winning is to combine fast-paced skill with teamwork and real-time tactics, which contributes to a progression that has RPG elements and is based on an extensive tech tree of firearms.
The game will be released as Free-to-play for Microsoft Windows on Steam in Early 2018, and later for PlayStation and Xbox.
An Early Access release is announced for December 2017.
Setting
Boom Squad features a group of special forces ex-operatives from various countries, deployed in different locations as a group of elite mercenaries, part of an experiment by an American Military Research Group, carrying out all sorts of missions, ranging from assassination and bomb defusing to rescue.
Gameplay
The player views the game from a side-view and controls a customized character equipped with specialized firearms and special combat abilities.
There is no solo campaign. Every match is online multiplayer, and the matchmaker sorts through the available players and creates teams of 5, with complementary abilities and experience. Friends can be invited. Every match is ranked, and a victory comes with varying amounts of rewards that contribute to the character and its equipment progression.
