Boscoli Foods, a family-owned food manufacturer, was established in 1992 and is headquartered in the Greater New Orleans area.

History

Boscoli Foods, Inc. started as a small "mom and pop" food manufacturer that produced Boscoli Family branded, Sicilian products for grocery stores and restaurants in and around the Greater New Orleans area. Boscoli Family Italian Olive salad, which originated in Camporeale, Sicily, is their main product. Essential to the New Orleans' famous "Muffuletta Sandwich", Boscoli Family Italian Olive salad is a medley of pickled cauliflower, carrots, celery, green olives, black olives and capers, combined with their special blend of spices and select oils, still hand-made using their 100-year-old family recipe. Boscoli Family Italian Olive salad has become a popular condiment for its variety of uses, such as on sandwiches, salads, pizzas, hamburgers, hot dogs, in pasta salads and dips. Over the years, Boscoli Foods has expanded their food production facility and product line. Boscoli Foods also sells two additional varieties of Olive salads, Jalapeno and Kalamata, as well as Dirty Martini Olive Juice, Spicy Pickled Vegetables and Stuffed Olives. After Hurricane Katrina in 2005, Boscoli Foods experienced significant growth when many displaced New Orleanians realized the lack of New Orleans food offerings in grocery stores throughout the United States. Today, Boscoli Family products can be found in many grocery stores nationally and, to a lesser extent, internationally. In 2016, Boscoli Foods was the recipient of the Louisiana Lantern Award. This award is given to companies that demonstrate excellence in manufacturing and outstanding service to their communities through the involvement of their businesses and employees.

Boscoli Family Italian Olive salad has been featured in magazine articles, online publications, and on national television, including Guy's Grocery Games and Ultimate Recipe Showdown.
