Boy Who Never Slept is a 2006 Amercian romantic comedy open-source movie that was written and directed by Solomon Rothman as his first feature film. The film was released on June 30, 2006.
Production[edit]
Rothman chose to release it as open-source, as he felt that it would allow people to edit the film and saw it as an extension of the open-source software model.[1] The download includes the source audio and video files. Boy Who Never Slept was filmed with a budget of $200.
Plot[edit]
Young writer Daniel (Solomon Rothman) suffers from insomnia and begins a relationship with teenage Melissa (Aurora Mae Brown). What begins as a simple friendship develops into a love story set in a in harsh reality.
