Bradley J. Bondi (born c. 1974) is an American lawyer who has worked as a federal prosecutor, an attorney for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and a partner at Cahill Gordon & Reindel and Paul Hastings. He specializes in securities law and white-collar criminal defense.
Early life and education
Bradley J. Bondi was born c. 1974.[1] He is the younger brother of lawyer and politician Pam Bondi.[2] He earned a B.S. with honors, a M.B.A. in finance and management, and a. J.D. from the University of Florida.[3] He was inducted into the inducted Order of the Coif and later funded the Bradley J. Bondi Diversity and Inclusion Endowed Scholarship in 2021.[3][4] Bondi earned a LL.M. with distinction from the Georgetown University Law Center.[3]
Career
Bondi worked as a securities lawyer and prosecutor at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) before joining Cahill Gordon & Reindel as a partner.[2] He became a partner at Paul Hastings, a white-collar defense firm where he led a practice group handling high-profile cases, including representing Tesla, Inc. in a 2018 SEC settlement and advising Digital World Acquisition Corp. in its merger negotiations with Trump Media & Technology Group.[4]
In January 2025, Bondi was retained to represent former Florida state representative Carolina Amesty, who was charged with federal pandemic relief fraud.[5] That same month, he was enlisted by a group of investors including MrBeast to help prepare a bid to purchase TikTok.[4][5] In February 2025, Bondi announced his candidacy for president of the District of Columbia Bar, with the election running from March to June 2025.[4]
Personal life
In January 2013, Bondi and his wife purchased Old Welbourne Farm and Dulany Family Cemetery, a 330-acre estate in Bluemont, Virginia.[1] They later bought an additional 165 acres in 2015.[1] By 2016, the couple had four children and a foster son.[1] They operate a Black Angus cattle farm and participate in fox hunting through the Piedmont Fox Hounds club.[1]
Since 2020, Bondi has donated more than $25,000 to political committees supporting Donald Trump.[4]
