Sharon Goodie is an American administrative law judge who is a nominee to be an associate judge on the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.[1]
Education[edit]
Goodie earned her Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from the Brandeis University and her Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center. Upon graduation from law school, she clerked for Judge Harriett R. Taylor of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.
Nomination to D.C. Superior Court[edit]
On September 17, 2020, President Trump nominated Goodie to serve as an associate judge on the Superior Court of the District of Columbia to the seat vacated by Judge Patricia A. Broderick whose term expired.[2] On January 3, 2021, her nomination was returned to the President under Rule XXXI, Paragraph 6 of the United States Senate.[3] She was later renominated the same day. She was nominated to the seat vacated by Judge Robert E. Morin, who retired on September 30, 2020.[4] On January 3, 2021, her nomination was returned to the President under Rule XXXI, Paragraph 6 of the United States Senate. Her nomination was resubmitted later that same day.[5] Her nomination was referred to the United States Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs.
