Bradley D. Harris
Bradley D. Harris (born 1956) is a professor of Experience Design and Management and the Campus Director of the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance Nonprofit at Brigham Young University (BYU) since 2003. He previously worked for 22 years as a professional with the Boy Scouts of America. He is the author of Trails of Testimony: Bringing Young Men to Christ through Scouting and co-author of “Raising Successful Missionaries: A Parents Guide.”
As a young man, Harris served a mission in Colorado and Kansas for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church). He has a bachelors degree from BYU in recreation management and a master's degree in public administration from BYU.
Among other leadership posts in Boy Scouts of America, Harris served as district executive in Eugene, Oregon; senior district executive in Walnut Creek, California; and field director in Denver, Colorado. He worked for five years at the National Council of the Boy Scouts of America, where he helped create the Venturing program. He served as a member of the Young Men General Board from February 2006 until April 2009. In the LDS Church he has also been a Varsity Coach, Venturing Crew Advisor, Stake and Ward Young Men President, Elders Quorum president, bishop and counselor, high councilor, branch president and counselor at the MTC, Institute Teacher, and a member of a stake presidency.
