Career[edit]

Reluao began researching social media algorithms while he was a sophomore in college, eventually becoming the administrator of a popular Twitter quote page and several online communities on social media platforms such as Facebook.[1]

Reluao was recruited by South Luzon’s Vice Governor for his first major digital marketing project, a digital tourism campaign that resulted in a 75% increase in the province’s tourism.[3][5] He eventually landed positions as a social media strategist for a couple of different companies. During the 2019 elections, Reluao also managed a social media campaign for a Metro Manila politician, resulting in 700,000 new Facebook followers and the politician’s election to his desired position.[3] He was also recruited by a mayor to handle an entire LGU’s communications, helping the mayor reach 500,000 likes and followers within the span of six months.[3]

Reluao used his acquired knowledge to found BranReluao and Associates, a consulting firm providing services such as crisis management, political campaigning, and brand marketing to clients in fields such as politics, entertainment, and business.[2][3] He went on to found Authority Asia, a digital marketing agency focused on political clients.[6] In addition to the Philippines, Authority Asia also has offices in Singapore and New York.[5]

In 2022, Reluao received P300 million in funding to manage RepublicAsia Media, his newest media and technology startup focused on news reporting.[4][7]
