Development[edit]
In February 2017 when Joseph was in high school, while one of his female friends was talking about how she wanted to learn about art in college when Joseph refused to go to college, he said he would make this show when he is out of school a year after. On that weekend, he was thinking about turning it into an adult animated comedy before he could make the episodes later after he graduates. Joggle spent 3 and a half years working on the show's script. After remembering about the plan to work on the show at high school, when he got home, Joggle had confirmed it would reference to most parody movies. "That's it. All I need to think about is that to imagine a show where Eric Cartman and Kyle Broflovski argue with each other. It could one day be a part of what you are dreaming about, but who knows if it could officially happen?"
On April 9, 2018, Joggle confirmed that the show will premiere on Moovex Network one day, but hasn't confirmed the show was being in development at the time. He had to focus on making original shows first before deciding to make it. In February 2019 after the premiere of Driving Women, he knew on his mind Brandon Bott Gets Grounded could not be what people expect until when "his dreams just got into it, the portrait of getting grounded on television is illusive".
In 2019, after graduating from high school, Joggle didn't want to work on it for the rest of the year. On June 17, 2020, Joseph's plan was that he was ready to work on the show, but a lil later, stating: "But first, I have to catch up on Moovex Network original programming before I get ready to do that." However, on September 4, 2020, Joseph was ready to make the show for real after 3 years. The show was officially in the works under to the public, "Untitled Brandon Bott Comedy TV Series", with Moovex Network acquired rights to air the show. That following day, Alex Hiegel was to produce through his Den of Thieves banner. Joggle confirmed that back in 2017, he spent 2 weeks working on the script. The idea of making the show was to imagine how his own self would ground a movie collector on TV in his dream. "So, if you know what you're doing, you will sue someone for causing trouble on this earth because you think that people just love to cause problems in this house all the time."
Alex Hiegel had that idea to produce something original and Joseph Joggle agreed to work with them on the project, so together they chose to work on Brandon Bott Gets Grounded. Hiegel laughed at the plot-this satirical comedy and how Joggle eventually met him in person in New Jersey to bully him for all the wrongdoings he did. He saw the episodes early and found it to be very funny, and an actual thing that has been circling towards Joggle's brain since 2017. On December 15, 2020, Moovex Network announced the show would premiere in early 2021. Joggle had to finish working on the episodes first.
Due to Brandon Bott's cat's Zackie's death and that Joseph was stalking and raping him the same day, on January 29, 2021, Moovex Network confirmed the show would premiere on the network March 8, 2021. The episodes finished production on February 15, 2021, following a trailer debut on TV February 24.
Joseph Joggle was finally happy his dream came alive, and was to spawn a franchise called Grounded Corners. "I knew this amazing plan was to come true years after dreaming, it has since been known. Now I will no longer have to worry, and it's like I now had my chance. The animation is fancy, and when you look at how much cussing it will have, that's because it's not for kids. Always succeed on what you're doing."
Release[edit]
On January 29, 2021, the title was officially revealed as Brandon Bott Gets Grounded. Following that, Moovex Network announced the show would premiere on March 8, 2021.
Reception[edit]
Brandon Bott Gets Grounded was usefully panned by audiences and Brandon Bott fans.
Joseph Joggle's work boss gave the show an F, saying: "No kidding, Brandon Bott Gets Grounded is not funny to me. Yes, this is insane and ridiculous. It's an unaccompanied discrimination of a movie collector everybody loves and all Joseph Joggle does is nothing but bad things towards him. The animation has just been rushed too."
Joseph Joggle's former high school friend he met until he graduated Russell Franco also wasn't happy about the show, stating: "a cruel bomb because it's just nothing but violent, atrocious and insulting, plus as a result, these separate voices would just do nothing but make the show terrible."
