He-Man and the Masters of the Universe is an upcoming computer-animated superhero fantasy streaming television series and is a reimagining of the 1983 series of the same name directed by Matt Ahrens and developed by Robert David. The series is set premiere on Netflix on September 16, 2021.^[1]

On December 18, 2019, Netflix announced two new Masters of the Universe projects to be in development: an adult-oriented anime series described as a direct sequel to the 1983 He-Man and the Masters of the Universe television series, and a CGI series aimed at children.^[3]^[4]^[5]
