Backstory[edit]

Brayden Weston is a drug dealer who is from a very fortunate family. He redefines the word 'Loyalty', and despite the fact that his family is wealthy, Brayden wants to make it on his own without the aid of his relatives and thus he sell drugs at school through an application called CourseCorrect.[5]

Storyline[edit]

Power[edit]

Season 5[edit]

Brayden walked in the room which was in and just happened to see pills on the desk and asked Tariq if he could have some and that his sister used to hTariqhem too but Tariq St. Patrick (Michael Rainey Jr.) turned him down even though he offered to buy them. Brayden later came back to his room which he shares with Tariq, Tariq offered him the pills and told Brayden to tell him if he ever needs more.

Season 6[edit]

Brayden was in a room with Tariq when he was paying condolences to Angela Valdes (Lela Loren) on the phone with his father. Brayden thought Tariq did not like his father Ghost and he was right because Tariq checked out the speculation by saying that he was just playing it cool when replying Brayden.

Brayden later came in with someone who wants to purchase pills from Tariq, however Tariq turned downed the offer even though the buyer raised the price. Tariq scowled and yelled at Brayden for bringing people when they live to buy drugs, but he cut him a deal to sell and beside him.

He then came in blowing cash screaming "we are rich!" and told Tariq that someone wants to meet the connect and if Tariq declines, she will turn them both in.[5]

Power Book II: Ghost[edit]

Season 1[edit]

Tariq moved in with Brayden following his agreement to work with Monet Tejada (Mary J. Blige), they started selling drugs through a 'tutor application' which was authored by Sebastian Kumal-Stern (Abubakr Ali), Simon Stern's (Victor Garber) husband.[5]

Cooper Saxe's (Shane Johnson) niece, Riley Saxe-Merchant (Andrea Lee Christensen) supposedly showed up at Saxe's doorstep with the cops for being in possession of weed and narcotics and Saxe handled the situation. However, in return he demanded that Riley spy on Tariq to find out how he is making money to pay his attorney, Davis MacLean (Method Man). Riley attended a party where she met Tariq and tried to approach him, unfortunately she was turned down but Brayden saw an opportunity to score a companion. Tariq got Brayden into a brawl at the party in order to test him and Brayden fought only to impress Riley.

Riley started asking numerous questions concerning or rather about Tariq before and after Brayden threw a birthday party for Tariq which got Brayden too suspicious of why her companion is interested in knowing more about his roommate. Riley drugged Tariq and tracked his phone, Tariq cussed at Brayden, and went to the graveyard to visit his late father and twin sister, however because he was drunk and drugged he uttered words he shouldn't have and Cooper Saxe illegally video recorded him confessing to the murder of his father, (and officer Ray-Ray).[6]

Brayden's elder brother, Trace Weston stole Brayden's pills and Cane walked in on them fighting over the situation and he took them for a ride. He gave them drugs to sells which Brayden had no problem doing but Trace got jumped and beat down and was also rescued by his younger brother.[7] On their way home they were pulled over by officer Ramirez, the officer offered a deal Trace and Brayden utter nothing about the night they had and he does not take them in.

Brayden was told and believed that Tariq was after his girlfriend following the incident of the drugged drink at the party, he later found out the whole truth and connected the dots and left Riley.[8]

He approached Tariq concerning shortage of product to move as their drugs were in demand but Tariq told him he did not have any at the moment and his connect is also experiencing some difficulties. Effie (Alix Lapri) showed up at Tariq's room while he was with Lauren Baldwin (Paige Hurd) during the sex week period, Lauren had to leave as Effie had a business proposal for Tariq but Tariq turned down the offer because he did not trust Effie as she got him expelled at his previous school. Tariq later contacted Effie with a change of mind, they literally kissed and made up and got to work together, they made quickly sold drugs amounting to fifty thousand. Effie and Tariq had an agreement that they would meet up but Tariq ran into some problems and his life was threatened by a GTG member sent by Cane Tejada, Tariq was saved by Francis "2-Bit" Johnson (Michael J. Ferguson) when he drowned the GTG member to death. He texted Effie that he can't see her, Effie bumped in Brayden and his sister whom Effie sold drugs earlier on, the sister wanted more product but Effie told her to ask Brayden's bestfriend of which Brayden had no knowledge that Tariq was moving product with Effie behind his back after Tariq lied to him and told him Effie is not around.[9]

Season 2[edit]

Brayden took Tariq to his house to meet his family

Since Monet had no distributor to help her move her drugs anymore because she cut ties with her son, Cane Tejada, she had to give Tariq even more product to sell which Tariq have Brayden to help him move it.

Brayden was offered immunity by the authorities if he told the truth concerning the CourseCorrect app that was used to sell drugs on campus, instead of snitching on Tariq he took advantage of the immunity he was given and in court he answered the questions he was asked to the best of his abilities and adding that he was the who coded the app thus he was the only one selling drugs on campus.

Lauren Baldwin (Paige Hurd) was wired by the federal attorneys to record everything happening around Tariq and Cane, Effie and Brayden made her and they took matters into their own hands before Lauren could flee the city she was killed.

Season 3[edit]

Brayden and Tariq are the new interns in Weston Holdings business where Brayden found workers doing drugs and tried to convince Tariq into moving drugs in the business but Tariq declined as Brayden was already tainted with the drug drama, after attending a party Tariq bought Brayden's idea and he saw an opportunity to move drugs secretly in the business. Brayden and Tariq conspired to kill the competition and had Dru Tejada kill the dealer to take the territory and so Dru got the job done.[10] It was later revealed that Lauren Baldwin was still alive and in witness protection helping the FBI with their investigation to apprehend Effie and Brayden.[11][12]
