Brent Woods is a populated place in Addison Township, Shelby County, in the U.S. state of Indiana.[2]
Shelbyville native Charles Major set his 1901 book, The Bears of Blue River, in the locale. The area then came to be named Brent Woods after the fictional hero of that book, Basler Brent.[3]
